Club Meeting and Weekly review Week 2 2013

Which direction is the club going!!!

Points agreed at the meeting;

• Midweek Spin – 7pm Wednesday night starting this weekfrom McElligotts, Tralee Road, Castleisland and route will be 5 laps of the small bypass circuit anti clockwise and dictated by slowest person on night. Paudie McCarthy to control.
• Saturday Week – 19th Jan begin speed team time trial and hill work from Paud Fitz Roundabout Tralee Road 2pm. Tom Barrett to take charge.
• Sunday Morning Leisure Spin – Leave Currow 10am, Dromulton towards Cordal, Left for Castleisland and nobody dropped by here where the speed will increase on Tralee Road to Ballycarthy where racing group will peel off. Rest of group will continue to Farranfore and back to Currow. Steve Key to organise.
• Different route / tour every 3/4 weeks depending on calendar.
• Registration see Paudie McCarthy at the spins. Discount if joined up by end of Jan which is 40 euro including Cycling Ireland Licence. First time memberships will be 20 euro to attract new members.
• Weekend away to Dingle on March 23rd/24th. Route etc to be discussed at next meeting. Cost to be available shortly. Deposits will be needed by next meeting
• Big push to get new people out cycling and Sundays the ideal start as it accomodates 3 groups of all abilities. Members to mentor new additions and advise them on how the spins work. Ideal time of year to start. Weekly update on the website by Noon on Thursdays.
