Currow CC Weekend of Cycling June 12th and 13th, 2010

Headquarters at Currow Community Centre, Near Castleisland, Co Kerry.A new circuit is being used this year which is a shorter version of the normal one. Total Prize Fund in excess of 2,000 euro.

Saturday 12th of June
There will be a 15 Km time trial on Saturday evening (1 lap of the John Drumm race circuit) with the first cyclist starting from 7:45 pm. Sign on Opens at 6:30pm and closes at 7:20pm. There will be cash prizes for the best 6 times with other prizes for unplaced A2, A3, A4, Ladies, Under 16, Under 14, Over 40 and Over 50.
Sunday 14th of June – Underage Races

Under 16 Race Sunday 32km (5 laps of the 4 mile Underage Circuit) 12.15pm Prizes for first 6 in each Category and best unplaced U15.Sign On Opens 11am and Closes noon

Under 14 Race Sunday 20km (3 laps of the 4 mile Underage Circuit) 12.18pm Prizes for first 6 and best unplaced U13. Sign On Opens 11am and Closes noon

Under 12 Race Sunday 6km (1 lap of the 4 mile Underage Circuit) 12.20pm Prizes for first 6 and best unplaced U11. Sign On Opens 11am and Closes noon

Sunday 14th of June – Senior Races

45th Annual John Drumm Cup – Sunday 90km (6 laps) 2pm. Sign On Open at 12.Cash Prizes first 8 with first 3 Unplaced A2s.

A3 Race – Sunday. 60km (4 laps). 2.02pm. Sign On Open at 12. Cash Prizes first 8

A4 Race – Sunday. 45km (3 laps). 2.04pm. Sign On Open at 12. Cash Prizes first 8

Note – If either the A3 or A4 fields are smaller than 25 cyclists these races will be amalgamated to 60km and the prize list changed to first 8 over the line with the first 3 unplaced A4s. The A4s will receive a 3 minute handicap at the start.

Neutral service vehicles will be provided for each race. Can any competitors wanting to use this service hand in the wheels before the event.

Family Fun Cycle
Sunday 6km (1 lap of the Underage Circuit) 5pm

Sign on from 3pm (Run by the Kerry Local Sports Partnership in association with National Bike Week)

Bike Set Up and Basic Maintenance Workshop
