Points from Club Meeting in Currow Hall 12 May 2010
Overall review – things going well with a lot of activity with special congratulations to the M2M group and supporters. The support in Currow especially was well appreciated. Members starting to take part in various races, tours and events so well done to all on this and it is something the club loves to see and encourages.
Training spins to be as follows (from 17th of May to the Ring of Kerry);
Monday Night 7pm – Currow Post Office – Easy Pace suitable for beginners. 1 group on the road.
Wednesday Night 7pm – Currow Post Office – Currow – Ballycarthy and split there into 3 groups if numbers allow
Friday Night 7pm – Currow Post Office – Currow – Lower Dromulton – Castleisland and split there into 3 groups if numbers allow
Sunday Morning 9am – Currow Post Office – Long spin to be decided during the week. Options for all abilities.
3. Big push to get new members into the club especially between here and the Ring of Kerry. Monday night spins targeted at new members but will benifit from as many as possible turning up.
4. June tour on Sunday 6th at 10 sharp. Sign on from 9am. Route details to follow.
5. Drumm Cup weekend of cycling on 12th / 13th of June. Full details to follow. Family cycle at 5 pm and a workshop for basic bike maintanence at 6pm on the 13th after the Drumm cup.
6. A note to all cyclists to read and take note of the safety article on the website.
7. Next meeting about the Drumm Cup weekend planning on Tues 8th of June at 9pm in the Hall.
