There is a leisure cycle on in Abbeyfeale on Saturday 8th August in aid of Down Syndrome. Multiple route options to suit all options and does appear to be well supported. Would be worth a visit. For more info visit

Lance Armstrong – Tour of Ireland

The tour of Ireland is coming to Kerry with stage finishing in Killarney on sat Aug 22nd…not sure if the stage from clonmel will pass thru Castleisland but will put it up when i find out…

  • Stage One – Friday 21st August – The Ritz-Carlton Powerscourt, Enniskerry to Waterford – 196km
  • Stage Two – Saturday 22nd August – Clonmel to Killarney – 196km
  • Stage Three – Sunday 23rd August – Bantry to Cork City – 184km
  • Castleisland Leisure Cycle

    Currow Cycling Club are promoting the annual Castleisland Leisure Cycle on Sunday 27th of September, 2009 at 10.00am from the Castleisland Rugby Club. Sign on from 9.00 to 9.45. Entry/Minimun sponsorship 20 euro. (Proceeds in aid of the Castleisland Day Care Centre)

    3 distances of 16km, 50km and 80km.

    SEAN KELLY – Tour Of Waterford

    Hi all.. the Sean Kelly tour of waterford is on next month on Sun 30th August and an event the club should really consider taking part in.Approx 2200 cyclists took part last year and its def a fantastic day out on the bike,its something to aim for and will keep the training  up til sept,feel free to leave any comments or ideas on what ye think we should do about it…


    Congratulations to all who took part in the 26th Ring of Kerry on Saturday. It was a great day out and there was a great representation from the club.     Good luck to everyone from Currow CC taking part in the Ring of Kerry tomorrow. Fingers crossed that the weather will be at least somewhat dry for us. Stay safe on the roads. Don’t forget to call back to the website early next week, I hope to upload photos.
