The County Championships are only a week away and we hope that cyclists are preparing themselves for what should be a great day and will hopefully become a permanent fixture on the Kerry cycling calendar.Its very encouraging to see the numbers of local cyclists and members of the other cycling clubs who have been very actively training on the circuit recently.

Well done to everyone who took part yesterday in the charity cycle in aid of the Day care center in Castleisland.Currow CC would like to give a big thanks to everyone who helped make this event easier to organise and a great success.It was great to see so many club members on the road enjoying themselves and encouraging the social cyclists who turned up.

a cold start to the day
Pa breen on the attack again
Well done to everyone from Currow cc who who did the gruelling ChainGang “Connor Pass Challenge” today,it was great to see so many yellow jerseys out supporting another local club and even better to see our own Tom Barrett 6th man over the pass today 5 places behind Team Irelands Paul Griffin.In fairness it was a credit to each and every club member who climbed the pass and short mountain and did the club proud.lets hope the cycling enthuasism carries on and we get a great show next sunday for the Day Care spin.

well done to Stuart Newens,Ciaran o’Connor and Pa Breen who did the club proud by doing the gruelling 160k Sean Kelly tour of wasterford last sunday,aside from the distance the route contained 4 tough climbs over the comeragh and was once a stage os the Ras where Kelly made his name.
